Reusable drape: all fabrics used must be suitable for normal washing – boiling and autoclaving- and be resistant to a 0.1% chlorine solution. The colour quality must be able to withstand repeated washings and sterilizations.
When local manufacturing is available for drapes and Mayo covers, fabric can be ordered in rolls . Locally-purchased fabrics must meet the below specifications.
All new drapes must be washed prior to sterilization.
